August Newsletter

Dear Friends,

Happy Summer!

We are less than 100 days until Election Day on November 8th and only 7 weeks until early voting begins September 23rd. So, it’s critical to get out to meet and greet more voters. This past month (July) we stepped up our door-knock outreach even more, including a major event July 30 that reached 800 doors, and included participation from retiring Senator Susan Kent, candidate for 47A Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger, and representatives from Betty McCollum's team. I look forward to meeting more of you in the weeks ahead as we work together to run hard, be positive, and keep talking to voters right up until Election Day.

Although door knocking takes time, I love hearing what is important to the voters, including support for our public schools, women's reproductive rights and protecting our water resources! As I chat with people throughout SD47, I realize more than ever how important it is to support and elect DFL candidates that care about our families, our veterans, our seniors, and our children.
With your help we will win this election!

JULY EVENTS: We had a wonderful time meeting people at the Afton 4th of July parade. I was honored to be the featured speaker at the Woodbury Reproductive Rights Rally organized by local high school students. Our team had a fun ice cream social meet & greet on National Ice Cream Day.
And, in personal news, my family celebrated my sweet foster baby turning 1!

AUGUST 9 is Primary Election Day: There are critical races on the ballot, including a very important school bond issue for those in District 833 and a primary challenge in CD 4. Find out where you vote: mnvotes.sos.state.mn.us. Early voting is taking place now, and day-of, the polls are open 7 am to 8 pm. Remember, if you are in line by 8 pm, you will be allowed to vote!
